Behind the lens

When I'm looking at photos, I want to feel invited into the scene — to find out what the flowers smell like, how the rain sounds, what's around the next turn, what joke we're laughing at.

When I look through my lens, I'm putting on my rose-tinted glasses and looking at every scene as if I were deeply crushing on it — what would I notice, what story would I want to tell — and filtering that through years of built-up intuition and technical understanding.
